Corporate Reserve Bullion Group was founded in 2014 by treasury and asset-advisory professionals who kept hearing a version of the same question from corporate finance leaders: central banks hold gold as a reserve asset — why don't we?

At the time, there wasn't an advisory practice built specifically around that question for corporate balance sheets. Firms that sold metal had an incentive to sell more of it. Wealth managers were built around individual portfolios, not treasury policy. CRBG was built to close that gap: independent of any custodian or dealer, compensated for advice rather than transactions, and focused on how a reserve allocation fits into an existing treasury function — accounting, audit, governance, and all.

Twelve years on, that's still the whole business.
